Don't Fall for Hype and High Pressure!

Paintless dent removal, or PDR, is a difficult art to master. It takes professional training and a dedicated attitude of determination and perseverance to succeed. The learning curve for a technician to produce quality repairs is usually at least 6-12 months. Despite what you may hear from other training companies, PDR has NOT been re-invented with technical words or phrases. There are no shortcuts in your training or success. PDR is simply metal physics and techniques in action. Our training features time-tested principles in an A+B=C environment.

Tom Price was trained by the first documented PDR technician in the country over 16 years ago. His first generation training and experiences enable your success in a predictable manner. He has trained and provided advanced training for other top trainers in this business.

Please take the advice you receive from other internet PDR training companies with a grain of salt. Many companies are simply in business to take your money without care for your results. Don't be manipulated by companies offering government programs or financing plans. State or government certification has nothing to do with your real world success. PDR is SATURATED in the wholesale markets in most parts of the US. The hail repair field is becoming a victim of too many technicians, and not enough work. The only growth market left in the US is for retail repairs in a larger city or metropolitan area.

Do your homework and conduct a thorough market research study of your area before you waste your time and money. There is a huge FAILURE rate in PDR training. This failure can be blamed on a variety of factors including:

  • Inadequate research of desired market area to see if there is enough demand for your services.
  • Lack of determination to succeed by practicing your craft on a consistent basis after your initial training is completed.
  • Impatience or unrealistic expectations.
  • Inferior tools, equipment, and lighting.
  • Poor financial planning. You must have a business plan and means to survive while you perfect your skills in this trade.
  • Bad eyesight or corrected vision.
  • Poor physical health or a bad back.
  • Inferior training by an unqualified instructor or insincere training mill.

The unique training courses we offer at PDRCoach include the following:

  • "No-drill" access techniques
  • Cutting-edge glue pulling principles (GPDR).
  • Introduction to advanced access repairs with shaved tooling.
  • Individualized training for the market area you desire to service.
  • Dent blending demonstrations and theory.
  • Indoor/ outdoor work environments.
  • Custom spray-fogged reflection and lighting systems.
  • Dedicated follow up services and continued education through a comprehensive DVD and video library.
  • Proprietary tools manufactured for our students.

Please feel free to contact us by phone or email to answer any questions or offer advice to help you make informed decisions. Thank-you!!

"I was a struggling PDR tech in 1998 when I heard about Tom’s advanced training classes. I spent a week working with him and he helped me understand how to get a dent flat. I also learned to work successfully outdoors. I appreciate his help in getting me over the hump. I now own the largest PDR Company in Montreal, Canada."
